Sep. 18–20 ODDtoberfest — hosted by the South Elgin Lions Club and the Elgin Odd Fellows Lodge #12, in South Elgin by the Fox River: Carnival rides, live music, beer tent, local food vendors, featuring live German music, food and beer. Hours – Friday, Sept. 18 - 5 – 11 PM / Saturday, Sept.19 -11 AM– 10:30 PM / Sunday, Sept. 20 - 11 AM – 5 PM. Net proceeds are to be donated to the South Elgin S.E.B.A. Park and other local charities.

Sep. 26 Sun City-Huntley Lions Club is hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast at the start of the Huntley Fall Festival. Serving from 7 AM to 11 AM at Cosman Cultural Center (cafeteria is on north side of building) at Deicke Park. $6 for Adults / Kids (with a Paying Adult) and under 12 — Free.

Oct. 02 Winner of the Geneva Lions Club Raffle Drawing will be pulled tonight at the Friday evening Geneva High School Homecoming Game. 1st Prize is $5,000/2nd Prize is $1,000/15 Prizes in all. Nov. 26 Naperville Noon Lions Club’s 18th Annual 5K Turkey Trot starts at 8 AM at Naperville Central High School, 440 Aurora Avenue, Naperville. Adult registration fee is $35 until October 31st and $40 thereafter. Fee for children ages 10-14 is $30 and $25 for children age 9 & under. Online registration only at www.napervilleturkeytrot.com.
