Jan. 1              Bingo at Elburn Lions Clubhouse in Elburn. Every Fri. night through the winter! Put it on your calendar if you’re a Bingo player!

Jan. 16            Somonauk Lions Club is holding a Drive-Through Chili Supper today from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Ticket prices are: Single Meal - $6.00; Two-meals - $11.00; Family Meal - $20.00. Drive-through is at the Somonauk High School Cafeteria. Tickets are available from any Somonauk Lion or at the Citizens 1st National Bank in Somonauk.

Jan. 19            Naperville Noon Lions Club Luncheon Meeting and tour of Phonak, Inc. facilities at 4520 Weaver Parkway, Warrenville.

Jan. 22            The Villa Park Lions will hold their Poker Night fundraiser at the Quality Inn in Elmhurst.

Jan. 23            Lions in Sight Day -- Dundee Township Lions Club will be doing this in its town. Will your club be hosting an event?

Jan. 23            Elburn Lions Club’s Annual “Recognizing Your Efforts” Dinner.

Jan. 24            The Villa Park Lions Club is hosting  its 24th Pancake Breakfast today.

Jan. 30            SKI FOR SIGHT at Lake Shabbona State Park.

Jan. 31            SKI FOR SIGHT -- Luncheon, Bingo & Snowmobiling (if there’s snow!) at Elburn Lions Clubhouse.

Jan. 31            Looking for something to celebrate Groundhog Day? Go out to Woodstock Lions Club’s Pancake Breakfast at the Woodstock Moose Lodge, 406 Clay St., Woodstock. Serving from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Adults $6.00, Children 6-10: $3.00 and Under 6:  Free.

Feb. 6             11th Annual Crystal Lake Lions Club Winter Steak Fry at D’Andrea’s Banquets beginning at 6 PM. Tickets are $30 per person. Free draft beer is included in the cost -- attendees must be 21. Dinner is from 6-9 PM with dancing to a DJ from 9-Midnight.

Feb. 12           The Bloomingdale Lions will be holding their next Spaghetti Dinner at 5:00 pm at the Bloomingdale Golf Club. Contact Lions Larry or Joe S. for tickets.

Feb. 12           Lisle Lions Club is hosting Bingo at First Club Bingo, 374 Commons Drive, Bolingbrook. Play starts at 7 PM. The 2nd Friday night of the month is Lisle Lions Club’s night.

Feb. 13           The Bartlett Lions Club will be hosting a Candle Light Bowl for Diabetes at the Brunswick Zone Bowling Lanes on Lake Street in Roselle. Tickets are $30 per person. See the club’s website for details at  www.bartlettlions.org

Feb. 20-24     Girls’ Middle School Basketball Tournaments, hosted by Dundee Township Lions Club.

Mar. 6            Richmond Lions Club’s Annual Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner -- Serving from 4 - 8 PM at Richmond Middle School, Rte. 12, Richmond.  It’s always a great dinner!

Mar. 13          St. Patrick’s Day Parade in East Dundee  -- look for Dundee Township Lions marching in it!

Mar. 14          McHenry Lions are hosting a Pancake Breakfast at the Moose Hall in McHenry today.

Mar. 21          Woodstock’s Lions Club’s 80th Annual Ham Dinner.  Details later!

Mar. 31            LIONS’ ROAR for incoming Gov. Lion Bob Jackson at Marquise Banquet Hall, 4117 E. Wonder Lake Rd., Wonder Lake.

Apr. 3              22nd Year for “Someone Special” at Drury Lane Theatre in Oak Brook. Ask Oakbrook Terrace Lions how you can help.

Apr. 9 -11        DISTRICT 1-J LIONS CONVENTION at Lisle Naperville Hilton, 3003 Corporate Drive West, (just off of Warrenville Road), Lisle.

Apr. 25            Ranch Style Breakfast, hosted by the Dundee Township Lions Club.

May 8              Diabetes Alert Day for Dundee Township Lions Club.

May 20-23       ILLINOIS STATE LIONS CONVENTION in Peoria IL  Check out Conventions on District 1-J’s website for the Registration Form and an updated Convention Flyer with many events.

Jun. 6               Annual ILLINOIS LIONS WALK FOR SIGHT -- New location this year -- Peck Farm Park, Geneva IL. Support your local organizations -- They Walk, We Walk & We All Share the Money.
