Details and on-line registration at www.bartlettlions.org Sep. 1 Winners for Naperville Noon Lions Club’s Summer “Gas Raffle” will be pulled at 1:30 PM at Naperville’s Last Fling celebration. Over 1,100 tickets had been sold as of 7/31/08. You can purchase tickets on-line at www.napervillenoonlions.org if you’d like. Sep. 4 1st day of the Sandwich Fair -- a great little fair for the price! Stop by Sandwich Lions Club’s Steer Raffle booth and buy a chance or two -- or more -- on winning some good beef!

is selling corn at the annual Darienfest. The Lions will also be

Sep. 7 Elburn Lions Car Show today. This event was formerly part of Elburn Days, but had grown so that it needed its own day. Sep. 7 The Kelly Miller Circus is in town -- hosted by the Itasca Lions Club -- show times at 2 PM & 4 PM -- rain or shine. Up to Age 2 are free / 2-11 Yrs. is $5.00 / Age 12 & older -- $9.00. Tickets may be purchased at the Itasca Village Hall, Itasca Park District, and Itasca Library. Have questions -- call Lion Tom Kryger at 630-776-9392. Sep. 7 Please Note Re-scheduled Date! Pancake Breakfast at the Wauconda American Legion Hall, hosted by the Island Lake Lionesses -- 8 AM to Noon. Sep. 12 Elgin Lions Club Annual Golf Outing at the Highlands of Elgin. 9 AM Shotgun start. Sep. 12 1st Annual Smelt Fry, hosted by South Elgin Lions Club, at the clubhouse. Serving from 5 - 8 PM (DJ and music begins at 7 PM) $7.00 for smelt, fries, cole slaw, and dinner roll. Cash bar will be available for $1 drafts. Free hot dogs for the kids. Sep. 12-14 -- It’s Oktoberfest in September in Villa Park! Look for hard-working Villa Park Lions there! Sep. 13 2nd Annual Sun City-Huntley Lions Club Pancake Breakfast in conjunction with Huntley Harvest Fest -- serving from 7 AM to 11 AM in Deicke Park Cosman Center. Tickets are $5 each ($3 for kids under 13/under 3 are free. Sep. 18-20 32nd Annual USA/CANADA LIONS LEADERSHIP FORUM in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, See www.usacanadalionsforum.org for info on registration and the Forum. Sep. 20 A fundraiser for Horizons for the Blind -- The Eddie Cash Show -- at McHenry County College Auditorium. $15 for advance ticket orders/$20 at the door. U.S. 20) -- 4:30 PM Reception and 6 PM Dinner -- $35.00 per person. Oct. 25 Lions German Dinner -- hosted by Elburn Lions Club -- Great food and open to the public! Oct. 31 Bartlett Lions Club’s 4th Annual Sigh Night Light Parade at 7 PM. Costume judging will occur in front of the new Metra Station just before the parade. Lions & Leos will have collection boxes throughout the parade route for used eyeglasses, hearing aids and all the other things that LIF recycles.
