Mar. 11             LIONS ROAR for VDG Lion Bob Fowler, an Elgin Lion, to help finance expenses associated with being a District Governor. Venue is the American Legion Hall (address to be furnished later).

Mar. 13             South Elgin Lions’ St. Patrick’s Day Party to raise funds for the improvement of the clubhouse.

Mar. 15             South Elgin Lions’ Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner fundraiser for the club’s various social services.

Mar. 19             Last day to obtain $87, plus tax, per night rate for 1-J Convention Hotel. Make reservations with the Hilton Lisle/Naperville at 630-505-0900. Mention you’re with the District 1-J Lions and use Code CLOI.

Apr. 10-12        DISTRICT 1-J CONVENTION at Lisle/Naperville Hilton, Warrenville Road.

Apr. 21             Last day to make reservations at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel and Conference Center for the MD-1 State Convention. Call 309-862-9000 to make your reservation. Guest room rate is $99 per night, plus 12% tax, and includes overnight self-parking in the hotel’s garage. Be sure to tell them you are with the Lions of Illinois to receive the discounted room rate.

June 26-30       98th LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION at Honolulu, Hawaii — Registration Form is available on Regular Registration (between Jan. 10 and Mar. 31, 2015) is $150 per adult / Late Registration after April 1, 2015 is to be done on-site at the Convention at a cost of $170 per adult.
