Nov. 21 Crystal Lake Lions Club’s Fall Raffle at Park Place (the old American Legion) at Oak Street & Woodstock Streets beginning at 7 PM. This is a reverse raffle with the last ticket out getting the Grand Prize. Tickets will be available in October for $100 each. Chairman Lion Jim Lantz at 815-455-0437 will have more details.
Nov. 22 Waterman Lions’ Gobbler Gallop 5K Run/Walk. Race starts at 9:00 a.m. at Waterman Elementary School. Register on line at gobblergallop5k.com or come early to register on site.
Nov. 22 Dedication Ceremony for new SEASPAR Bus at Clarendon Hills Lions Park, 100 Bryd Court, Clarendon Hills, at 1 PM. All Southeast Region Lions, especially, are invited.
Nov. 23 Westmont Lions Club will host a Pancake Breakfast in conjunction with Holly Days Craft Bazaar and afternoon tree decorating at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Westmont. $7 for Adults; $5 for Seniors with $3 discounts for crafters; Children $5; Kids 3 & under eat FREE. Serving from 8 AM to 1 PM at the Senior Center, 55 E. Richmond St., Westmont.
Nov. 23 Lisle Lions will be staffing water stations at the Lisle Chambers’ Annual Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K at 9 AM today at Lisle Sr. High School, 1800 Short Street, Lisle. Five age groups will compete.
Nov. 27 Naperville Noon Lions Club is hosting its 17th Annual 5K Turkey Trot Race on Thanksgiving morning. The race starts at 8 AM from Naperville Central High School Field House, 440 Aurora Avenue, Naperville. Adult registration is $35 until October 31 and $40 thereafter, Children ages 10-14 and children 9 & under are $25. On-line registration ONLY at www.napervilleturkeytrot.com. Dec. 06 2014 Wheaton Lions Club Reindeer Run or Walk through downtown Wheaton in conjunction with Wheaton Park District starts at 8:30 AM. The run is a CARA Emerging Race. Money raised will help people with sight & hearing disabilities. $30 for singles and $25 each for a team of 4 through November 28th. Fee is $40 at Packet Pick-Up and Race Day; CARA Members get $3 discount.

Dec. 07 Crystal Lake Lions Club will be hosting its Toys for Tot again this year at The Cottage. Lions are needed to help load the truck at 4 PM. The event is done in conjunction with the Marine Corps League and all toys will remain in McHenry County for distribution.
