Lions District 1-J

Lion George has served the Bartlett Lions Club with integrity, ability, outstanding leadership as Lion Tamer, Second Vice President, First Vice President, President and Past President.

Lion George has more than 21 years of 100% Attendance Awards.

Lion George is recognized throughout District 1-J for Leadership in serving on the District Cabinet as Schooling Chairperson, Schooling Instructor, Hospitality Rooms Chairperson, District Hospitality Room Chairperson for District and State Conventions, Registration Chairperson on the District 1-J Convention Committee.

Lion George has served as Zone Chairperson for 10 years and last year as Vice District Governor.

Lion George is a recipient of Bartlett Lions Club awards recognizing his service and various District, State and International Awards including 3 consecutive years Candy Day Chairperson Awards. District Governor Appreciation Award, Received from the Bartlett Lions Club Lion of the Year Award in 1997 and Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in 1999.

Lion George has served his community as a member of St. Peter Damian Parish, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Moose, Baseball Coach, Boy Scouts Scoutmaster and Treasurer and Cub Scout Treasurer.

Lion George and Sharon have been married for 43 years. They have two children, Randy and Christopher. The y have three Grandchildren, Nicolet, Abigail and Trevor.

Lion George has lived in Bartlett for 23 years. He is retired from the United States Postal Service, Northern Illinois District, after serving over 29 years in Federal Service.
