Lions District 1-J

Lion Ron Fangusaro is a member of the Bloomingdale Lions Club since he joined in 1987, and Lion Ron has served the Bloomingdale Lions Club as Secretary, Third Vice President, Second Vice President, First Vice President, President , and Director (Past President).

Lion Ron has regularly participated in Bloomingdale Lions Club activities and projects at all levels, and has attended meetings regularly, earning twelve (12) I00% attendance awards. Lion Ron is recognized throughout District 1-J for his leadership in serving on the District Cabinet as Chairman of Diabetes, Camp Lions, Hospitality Room, Theme Basket, and Silent Auction. Lion Ron has served as Zone Chairman in the Eastern Region of District I-J for nine (9) years.

Lion Ron has been awarded in recognizing his service and various District and State and International including Illinois Lions Foundation Fellow (2005), President’s International Service Award, JC Penney’s Golden Rule Finalist, and, in 1998, named by the Village of Bloomingdale Citizen of the Year.

Lion Ron and his wife Elisabeth are members of St Isidore’s parish.

Also, Lion Ron was a member of District 13 School Board (1987 – 1995), member of the Bloomingdale Plan Commission Zoning Board of Appeals, Commissioner of the Bloomingdale Baseball Association, volunteer for the Marklund Home, and the Board of Directors of the Bloomingdale Lions Club.
