Mar. 21             The Batavia Lions Club's next event is the 39th annual Pancake Breakfast at the East Side Shannon Hall. Serving from 7:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Price is $6.00/Adults and $1.00/Children under 12. Come and enjoy pancakes, sausage, eggs and the best coffee in the valley. Tickets at the door or from any Batavia Lion.

Mar. 22             Darien Lions Club 44th Annual Pancake Breakfast at Eisenhower Jr. High School, 1410 75th Street, Darien—Serving from 7:30 AM to 1 PM. All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes, Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Coffee, Juice, Milk.  At the Door Price:  $6.00 per person / Children 5 & under eat Free.  Hearing Screening and Blood Pressure Checks (both free) from 9 AM to Noon.

Mar. 24             Culver’s in Huntley will be the site of a Sun City-Huntley Lions Club fundraiser from 4—8 PM today. Tell your friends to come over and have dinner that day and the club will get a portion of everyone’s food bill donated to the SCH Lions Club. Is there a Culver’s in your town where you can do this, too???

Mar. 28             Bloomingdale Lions Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Mar. 28             Island Lake Lioness Club is hosting its Pancake Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, serving from 8 — 11:30 AM at the Island Lake Village Hall gym. Kids’ Prizes and 50/50 Raffle. Cost is $6 for age 3 & over; $3 for seniors, Free for age 2 & under.

Mar. 28             Free Annual Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny, hosted by Island Lake Lioness Club and Al Schmidt at 10 AM sharp! Takes place at the Island Lake Village Hall (rain or shine) Age Groups: 0-3; 4-6; and 7-8.

Apr. 1-3            Rose Day Fundraiser for Elgin Lions Club.

Apr. 04             Bartlett Lions’ Easter Egg Hunt at the Bartlett Community Center. There will be 11,000 eggs for children to find starting at 1 PM.

Apr. 04             Aurora Noon Lions Club is hosting its 7th annual Pancakes with the Easter Bunny Breakfast Fundraiser from 7:30 to 11 AM at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie St., Aurora. Tickets are $5 for Adult, $3 for Children 3-12, and $20 for a family. Tickets are available from Lions and at the door. A $1.00 Earlybird Discount will be offered from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Free color photos will be taken with the Easter Bunny.

Apr. 05             Lisle Lions Club Annual Easter Egg Hunt starts at 1 PM Sharp! It takes place at Lisle Jr. High, 5207 Center Street, Lisle. Out on the grass if the weather is suitable, indoors in the gym if not!

Apr. 08             Sun City-Huntley Lions Club’s Annual Flower Show at 7 PM at the Performing Arts Center in Huntley High School. Local florists will design arrangements to be given away as door prizes.  Proceeds will go the establishment of Scholarship Funds for Sight and/or Hearing-Impaired graduating high school senior from the Huntley area.

Apr. 12             Bartlett Lions Club is hosting Lion Rob’s Pancake Breakfast at the Fire Barn from 8 AM to 1 PM.

Apr. 21             Last day to make reservations at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel and Conference Center for the MD-1 State Convention. Call 309-862-9000 for a reservation.  Tell them you’re with the Lions! Guest room rate is $99 per night, plus 12% tax, and includes overnight self-parking in the hotel’s garage. Be sure to tell them you are with the Lions of Illinois to receive the discounted room rate.

May 22-24        Westmont Lions Club sponsors the Red, White and Bar-B-Q over Memorial Day Weekend at Ty Warner Park, 700 Blackhawk Drive, Westmont (N of Ogden Avenue/E of Cass Avenue). This is a Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned event. Free admission, cooking demos, professional BBQ competition and amateur BBQ competition, craft & commercial vendors, three days of Free Live music and, and an all ages Carnival.

May 24-25        South Elgin Lions’ Diabetic Day Fundraising from 8 AM to 5 PM. Volunteers needed at street corners and at the booth.

May 30             LIONS OF IL FOUNDATION OFFICE will have a Sorting Party at our new office building at 2254 Oakland Drive, Sycamore. Anyone that can spare a few hours to assist is welcome. Hours will probably be from 9 am till sometime around 2 PM. Reportedly, breakfast snacks and a noon lunch will be available for those sorting.

Jun. 04             Bartlett Lions Club Golf Outing at Bartlett Hills Golf Club. Check in at 10 AM — Shotgun Start at 11 AM. $100 per person includes lunch and steak dinner. Raffles, Betting Holes, and a chance to play Pebble Beach.

Jun. 06             LIONS OF IL FOUNDATION’S “Summer Scamper” 5K Walk/Fun Run will start at 8 AM at Elburn Lions Park. Day of Race Registration starts at 7 AM. 1 mile Walk/Fun Run—$15. 5K—$30 through May 16th, then $35. Registration after May 16th may not include a T-Shirt. Jun. 26-30        98th LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION at Honolulu, Hawaii — Registration Form is available on www.lionsclubs.org. Regular Registration (between Jan. 10 and Mar. 31, 2015) is $150 per adult / Late Registration after April 1, 2015 is to be done on-site at the Convention at a cost of $170 per adult.

Jul. 24-27         Lakefest/Carnival at Watertower Park.  Look for hard-working Island Lake Lions and Lionesses there!

Aug. 01            LIONS OF ILLINOIS FOUNDATION LOW VISION PROGRAM 22nd Annual Golf Classic at Railside golf Club, Gibson City, IL. Registration from 10 to 11:30 AM. Lunch at 11 AM. Shotgun Start at 12 Noon. $80 per golfer / 4 golfers per team. An LIF Logo Lob Wedge will be given to each registered golfer. Many prizes and give-aways.

Aug. 07            Huntley Lions Club Golf Outing at  Pinecrest in Huntley.

Sep. 17-19       USA/CANADA LIONS LEADERSHIP FORUM at Grand Rapids Michigan. Early Bird Fees are $277 through June 1; Summer Fees are $288 from June 2 through July 20; Last Minute Fees are $310 from July 21 until the Forum starts.
