Nov. 14 LIONS OF ILLINOIS MD-1 FORUM at Embassy Suites, 100 Conference Center Drive, East Peoria, IL. You can be one of 30 Lions to participate in the GUIDING LION or CLUB EXCELLENCE PROCESS (CEP) FACILITATOR TRAINING. Registration is $25 per person and includes Seminars & Lunch.
Nov. 14 Elburn Lions Club 300 Draw Down Raffle tonight at Lions Clubhouse. A $50 ticket buys your entry and a delicious pork chop/chicken dinner. The Raffle starts at 6 PM.
Nov. 18 Sun City-Huntley Lions Club Holiday Flower Show at Huntley High School Performing Arts Center at 7 PM. Tickets are $10 each (available at the door). Call Lion Laurie Larkin at 847-961-5649 for advance tickets and information. Beautiful arrangements given away — must be present to win.

Nov. 22 Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K Run/Walk starts at 9 AM. Registration opens at 7:30 AM at Lisle Sr. High School on Short Street. Cost is $35 with pre-registration on www.active.com by 11/20/2015 / $40 on Race Day. Free Tech shirts guaranteed for first 300 registrants. Look for Lisle Lions at the two water stations during the race.
Nov. 24 Elburn Lions Club’s Spaghetti Dinner. Doors open at 5 PM. Donations are welcome, but not required.
Nov. 26 Naperville Noon Lions Club’s 18th Annual 5K Turkey Trot starts at 8 AM at Naperville Central High School, 440 Aurora Avenue, Naperville. Adult registration fee is $35 until October 31st and $40 thereafter. Fee for children ages 10-14 is $30 and $25 for children age 9 & under. Online registration only at www.napervilleturkeytrot.com. There will be no Race Day Registration. Both runners & walkers are welcome. The race is limited to the first 7,500 runners and has sold out the past four years. Dec. 05 Wheaton Lions Club and Wheaton Park District are holding the Reindeer Run through downtown Wheaton starting at 8:30 AM. The run is a CARA Emerging Race. Register as a single or a time of at least 4 team members. $30 for singles and $25 for a team of 4 through 11/13/2015. Up to 12/1/2015, $35 for singles and $30 for a team of 4. $40 on Race day for singles. First 1,000 runner receive a free long-sleeve shirt and antlers. Money raised by the Lions Club is donated to help people with sight and hearing disabilities.
Dec. 12 Bloomingdale Lions Club’s Shopping for Christmas Baskets Program. They always have a good time while doing it, too!

Apr. 08–10 DISTRICT 1-J CONVENTION at a new venue this year — the Westin Hotel, 400 Park Blvd., (just off 290 at Thorndale Avenue) in Itasca. The theme this year is taken from the movie “Back to the Future.” Come on Friday and make it a fun weekend!
May 20-22 IL STATE LIONS CONVENTION held at the Abe Lincoln Hotel, 701 E Adams Street, Springfield IL. Come early or stay after the Convention and enjoy all Springfield has to offer!
